History

Priddy Cemetery serves the community of Priddy in northeastern Mills County, a town first settled in the early 1880s largely by German farmers. The community was named for Thomas Jefferson Priddy, a pioneer Baptist preacher and former Texas Ranger, and gained a post office in 1892. The cemetery is counted among Mills County's historic burial grounds.
