History
Weatherford's Santa Fe Depot in Parker County was built about 1908, decades after the railroad first reached the town in 1880. Constructed of pressed red brick with southwestern styling, the station was divided under Jim Crow-era law into three segregated waiting rooms flanking a central ticket and telegraph office that still holds the original stationmaster's desk. A designated Texas historic landmark, it today houses the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce.
