History
Commissioned in 1926 by Amarillo Bank and Trust president Charles A. Fisk, this twelve-story, 152-foot Gothic Revival tower at 724 South Polk Street opened in December 1928 at a cost approaching one million dollars. Designed by architect Guy Anton Carlander, it housed a bank on the ground floor with professional and medical offices above, and was rehabilitated as a Courtyard by Marriott hotel in 2011. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
