History
Completed in 1930 as the regional headquarters of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, this 14-story tower was designed by Santa Fe architect E. A. Harrison with Gothic Revival detailing and remained Amarillo's tallest building into the 1970s. The railroad left in 1989, and Potter County bought and restored the building, reopening it in 2000. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
