History
Old Shamrock Cemetery lies in the northwestern part of Red River County, reached by way of Highway 82 and FM 2573 toward Bagwell. Its oldest marked grave is that of Robert Baker, who died on December 28, 1859, and by 2004 the cemetery held more than five hundred documented burials. A Texas Historical Commission marker was dedicated at the site on September 16, 2001.
