History

Gilliam Cemetery lies in southeastern Red River County several miles south of Annona and is linked to the Gilliam Church of Christ, which received a half-acre of the D. McKinney survey from W. J. Gilliam. Its oldest marked grave is that of Thomas R. Peek, who died in 1859, and about 337 burials had been documented by 2004.
