History

Rehobeth Cemetery lies in southeastern Red River County southwest of Avery and is tied to the Rehobeth Missionary Baptist Church, which received one acre of the S. P. Moore survey by deed in 1899. Later deeds added land in 1916 and 1928, and the oldest marked grave is that of Claudie T. Scott, who died in 1906. The small cemetery held about 33 recorded burials.
