History

Hebron Cemetery lies on the outskirts of Clarksville in northeastern Red River County and historically served the local African American community, earlier known simply as "the Baptist Cemetery." An 1898 instrument conveyed five acres of the Henry Stout survey to the Hebron Cemetery Association. The oldest marked burial, Scott Dinwiddie, dates to 1898, and by 2004 the cemetery held some 868 documented burials.
