History

Albion Cemetery serves the small Albion community in the northwestern quadrant of Red River County, near the Red River on the George S. Park headright survey. The oldest marked grave is that of George W. Haley, who died in October 1863, placing the cemetery among the county's Civil War-era burial grounds. About 211 burials had been documented by 2004.
