History

Bachman Cemetery is a historic family burial ground in the northeastern quadrant of Red River County, situated near Collier Creek on the Patsey Kitchens survey and reached only across private land east of Acworth. The oldest marked grave belongs to Marshall N. Bachman, who died in the 1880s, and among those buried here is Archibald Towers "Archie" Bachman (1841-1899), a Confederate veteran who drew a pension for his Civil War service.
