History

Fairview Cemetery is one of the largest burial grounds in Pecos, the seat of Reeves County, with more than two thousand recorded interments reaching back to the town's early decades. Its entrance gate opens onto 8th Street on the cemetery's north side, and it long served as a principal community cemetery for the ranching and railroad town on the Pecos River.
