History
A Presbyterian congregation of nine charter members was organized in July 1886 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Burt, soon after the railroad town of Ballinger was founded. The present native-stone sanctuary, with a corner tower and steeple, was built in 1891 during the pastorate of the Rev. C. L. Ewing.
