History
The Eldred W. Foster House sits on Heron Drive along the southwest shore of Lake Worth in Fort Worth. Built in 1951 by Eldred W. Foster (1908-1995), a design engineer at Consolidated Vultee, it was constructed from plans by architect Antonin Raymond's firm Raymond and Rado that had been published in the January 1948 Woman's Home Companion. It is the first documented mid-century modern residence in Tarrant County listed on the National Register, added on August 28, 2012, and the only identified work of Antonin Raymond in Texas.
