History

Trent Cemetery serves the small railroad town of Trent in northwestern Taylor County, about twenty-three miles west of Abilene. The community grew up in 1881 as a station on the Texas and Pacific Railway and took its name from I. R. Trent. The cemetery has served the town's residents since its early decades.
