History
The O. C. Fisher Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse at 33 East Twohig Avenue in San Angelo began as a U.S. post office and courthouse erected around 1909-1911 to designs by James Knox Taylor, Supervising Architect of the U.S. Treasury, and was enlarged in 1932. Built in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, it was renamed in 1980 for longtime congressman O. C. Fisher and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
