History
The Alexander Lowe House in Victoria was built in 1883 by Alexander Lowe, a mayor of the city and a pioneer in refrigerated shipping. The frame home later stood at several locations before being renovated and moved to 701 North Washington Street. It received a Texas historical marker in 1965 and is a stop on the Victoria history trail.
