History
The Webb County Courthouse in Laredo was designed in the Beaux-Arts style by prominent San Antonio architect Alfred Giles, who won the 1907 design competition, and was completed in 1909 for about $46,918 after the previous courthouse burned in 1906. Its interior features a stained-glass 'Justice' window and a wrought-iron staircase produced by the Alamo Iron Works. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
