History

This burial ground, also known as the Williamson County Pauper or Poor Farm Cemetery, was the graveyard for the indigent who died at the county poor farm south of Georgetown. Also linked to the Middleton locale, its graves are largely unmarked and the site sits in a field behind later development. It stands as a reminder of how the county cared for its poorest residents.
