History

Old Mount Zion Cemetery, near Winnsboro in northeastern Wood County, holds burials dating from about 1893 into the 1970s and served a small rural community close to the Smyrna settlement. Its gravestone records were documented and published together with those of the adjacent Smyrna Cemetery in the county's multi-volume cemetery survey compiled beginning in 1970.
