History

Indian Mound Cemetery near Graham is named for an ancient Native American earthen mound at the site, atop which the pioneer-era graveyard was established. Burials there range from about 1857 into the early twentieth century, and it is counted among a small number of U.S. cemeteries superimposed on prehistoric mound sites.
