Somewhere in the last fifteen years, Houston turned its blank walls into a gallery. What used to be tagged and painted over became commissioned, celebrated, and Instagram-famous, and today the city's murals draw as many visitors as some of its museums. This driving loop links the most iconic of them — a postcard to the city, a giant meditation on nature, an angel's wings sized for a skyscraper, and a stretch of railroad graffiti that became an accidental civic motto. Expect to hop in and out of the car for photos, and know that street art is restless: murals get retouched, repainted, or lost, so treat this as a snapshot of a scene that never stops changing.
