Most PGA Tour stops play out on private country-club fairways, but the Houston Open unfolds on a public course any local can tee up — Memorial Park Golf Course, tucked inside the vast urban forest of Memorial Park just west of downtown. This driving loop circles the park and the course, tracing how a Depression-era muni built on a former World War I army camp was reborn as a tournament-caliber layout and drew the PGA Tour back after a half-century away.
