About this tour

Montrose is Houston's bohemian heart, and the stretch of Westheimer Road running through it has long been the city's proving ground for the craft-cocktail movement. This short walk strings together some of the neighborhood's most influential bars, from the room that helped kick off Houston's cocktail renaissance to a beloved dive with pinball machines out back. Because everything sits within a few blocks along Westheimer, you can do this one on foot — which is exactly how you should, given the drinks involved. Take it slowly, sip rather than gulp, and use the walk between stops to sober your pace. Bring a friend and let the night unfold bar by bar.
