History

Oak Ridge Cemetery sits about half a mile south of State Highway 77 near Marietta in northern Cass County, on land donated by early settler Davis Anderson Floyd. The burial ground grew up alongside the Marietta school and the Oakridge Baptist Church, which was organized on September 28, 1879, with J. M. Archer as its first pastor. The cemetery remains active and is cared for by the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association.
