History
Corinth Cemetery near Bullard grew out of a Methodist-Episcopal church and school called Corinth, named for the biblical city, that Methodist preacher Edmund Mason founded on his land in the late 1850s; tax records show he had set aside about five acres for the church and school by 1855. The burial tract passed through several owners, with deeds to the cemetery property dating from 1881. Families began holding semi-annual cleanup gatherings by 1940, the grounds were fenced by 1945, and the Corinth Cemetery Association organized in 1974. A Texas Historical Marker was awarded to the cemetery in 1992.
