History

The Davis-Hill House at 710 North Church Street was built in 1902 by John N. Davis, a traveling buggy salesman, and his wife Maggie Hamilton Davis. The L-plan vernacular home, featuring an extended front bay and a wraparound porch, remained in the Davis family until 1978 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 8, 1987.
