History
The 16,000-square-foot Frisco Heritage Museum tells the story of Frisco and the North Texas region, a community born when the St. Louis-San Francisco (Frisco) Railway laid tracks and needed a watering stop for its steam engines. Originally named Emerson, the town was renamed after the railroad and later shortened to Frisco. The surrounding Heritage Center village gathers historic structures including homes, a log cabin, a schoolhouse, and the original Lebanon Baptist Church.
