History
The Willis-Moody Mansion at 2618 Broadway is a 31-room Richardsonian Romanesque house built between 1893 and 1895 to a design by English architect William H. Tyndall for Galveston socialite Narcissa Willis. After the 1900 Storm, financier William Lewis Moody Jr. bought the house for about $20,000, and the Moody family lived there until 1986, when it became a historic house museum. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 13, 1994.
