This historic Latin American (Mexican-American) cemetery serves the old Rancho community near Nixon, part of a landscape of racially segregated burial grounds in the area. The Nixon Latin American Cemetery Association that cares for it is more than a century old, reflecting the deep roots of the region's Mexican-American families.
