History

Round Lake Cemetery, about five miles north of Smiley on Highway 108, takes its name from the Round Lake community, historically also called Clabbertown. From 1899 to 1906 the settlement had a post office housed in Martin Albert Zent's general store, marking the community's brief period of activity. The cemetery is the main surviving trace of the old Round Lake community.
