History

Liberty Cemetery is a historic rural burial ground in northwestern Grayson County, north of Whitesboro, and one of several small graveyards that served the now largely vanished farming communities of that part of the county. Though the surrounding Liberty settlement has faded from the map, the cemetery remains in use and preserves the graves of the area's early families.
