History

Harvey Homan came to Texas in January 1836 and fought at the Battle of San Jacinto in Captain Richard Roman's company. Born in Kentucky in 1806, he died in Houston in 1846 and is buried in Founders Memorial Cemetery, the city's oldest burial ground, where a marker commemorates his service in the Texas Revolution.
