History

The J. U. Fields Home commemorates J. U. and Florence Fields, a prominent early Haskell couple whose household reflected the town's turn-of-the-century prosperity. Their personal collection of antique furnishings, fine china and other belongings was later preserved for public display. The Texas Historical Commission marked the home for its place in Haskell's history.
