History

Weaver Cemetery serves the former railroad community of Weaver in Hopkins County, which grew up as a station on the St. Louis Southwestern Railway in the late 1880s. The public burial ground traces back to a family plot that was opened to the community in 1878, and today it holds more than 1,200 graves, with a memorial service still observed each July.
