History

The Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Cemetery sits just north of Quinlan on the east side of State Highway 34 and grew out of the older Lanham family burial ground, where Solomon Lanham was interred in 1867 and his wife Sarah in 1873. In 1905 W. B. DeJernett and his wife deeded about six acres to Quinlan Odd Fellows Lodge No. 438 for a public cemetery, later enlarged with an I.O.O.F. Annex to the east. It is maintained today by the Odd Fellow-Lanham Cemetery Association.
