History
Boles Home Cemetery lies on the grounds of the former Boles Orphans' Home north of Quinlan, an institution created after William Foster Boles and his wife Mary Barnhart Boles donated 436 acres to the Church of Christ in 1923. The home opened for its first children on November 24, 1924, under superintendent A. O. Colley, and grew into one of the largest church-supported children's homes in Texas, near the banks of Lake Tawakoni. The cemetery served the home and its community; the institution later merged into Arms of Hope in 2009.
