History

This is the I.O.O.F. Cemetery about a mile southwest of Caddo Mills, established by Caddo Mills Odd Fellows Lodge No. 416, whose trustees purchased 4.55 acres for burials in 1902, although graves already existed on the tract. The oldest known burial is that of Nancy Gary, who died in 1893, and veterans from the Civil War through Vietnam are interred here. The lodge turned care of the grounds over to the Caddo Mills Cemetery Association in 1925, and the Texas Historical Commission placed a marker at the site in 2001.
