History

Lincoln Rest Cemetery in Beaumont, originally called Lincoln Burial Park, was used from about 1930 to 1950 as a burial ground for low-income residents. Covering nearly eleven acres off LaBelle Road, it was largely abandoned after mid-century and vandalized in 1967, and it has since been the subject of periodic volunteer cleanup efforts.
