History

Landrum Cemetery survives near the old townsite of Landrum in central Jefferson County, a community platted in 1895 by the Landrum family in anticipation of the Gulf and Interstate Railway. Although the town faded in the early twentieth century, the cemetery remains, with burials dating to the 1800s including members of the Landrum family.
