History

Reynolds Cemetery lies about three miles southwest of Orange Grove on what was the Palo Ventana Ranch, in country that belonged to Nueces County before Jim Wells County was organized in 1911. According to the Reynolds family Bible, its first burial was Charles, the infant son of George and Hannah Reynolds, who was born and died in February 1868. The ranch graveyard survives as a record of one of the district's pioneer families.
