History

Turner Cemetery is a small family plot in northeastern Lavaca County. Only the fragments of about four gravestones survive, all belonging to members of the Turner family for whom the cemetery is named. It is one of the county's many tiny pioneer-family burial grounds documented in Sammy Tise's Lavaca County cemetery survey.
