History

Willow Creek Cemetery, on Farm Road 3283 near Sublime, is more than a century old and holds several hundred graves in an area that was once densely settled. Its oldest legible marker belongs to Delbert Judd, who died September 16, 1858, and many graves are marked only with fieldstones or have eroded beyond reading. The adjoining Willow Creek Black Cemetery, separated by a chain-link fence, served the community's African American residents.
