History

Bright Cemetery is one of the older burial grounds in Lavaca County, located on the east side of Farm Road 530 just past its junction with FM 2437. Its oldest marker is for the child Caldonia Bright, who died November 8, 1856. The cemetery takes its name from the pioneer Bright family whose early graves it holds.
