History

Charlottenburg Cemetery serves the German-settled Charlottenburg community in the Shiner area of Lavaca County. Its oldest marker is that of Dorthea Pfeil, who died February 28, 1883, at the age of sixty-four. The Charlottenburg Cemetery Association was formally incorporated on March 28, 1978, and the grounds hold more than 110 markers.
