History
The Old Rosebud Saloon dates from Jefferson's 19th-century steamboat era, when the Marion County town was one of Texas's busiest inland river ports on Big Cypress Bayou. It stands among the many preserved 19th-century commercial buildings in Jefferson's National Register historic district.
