History
After a June 1935 flood washed out two truss spans of the 1930 highway bridge over the Llano River in Mason County, the Texas Highway Department secured emergency federal relief funds and had Froemming Bros. rebuild the crossing in 1936. The reconstructed bridge uses riveted Warren polygonal-chord through-truss spans and carries US 87 traffic toward Fredericksburg. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
