History

Rock Hill Cemetery stands at the corner of Farm Road 1794 and County Road 264 in northern Panola County, across from Rock Hill United Methodist Church. The community grew up after the Civil War, and the Methodist congregation, organized in 1887, was moved to Rock Hill in 1895, with a new church built in 1912. The church belonged to the Beckville circuit, and by the mid-20th century the cemetery and church were among the few remnants of the once-larger settlement.
