History

Tabernacle Cemetery lies in the Shiloh community on County Road 266 near Beckville in northern Panola County. It is a very old burial ground: the earliest marked graves date to 1885 and 1888, and one interment, John Grant, was born in 1820. Its associated church eventually merged with the nearby Shiloh Baptist Church, and the cemetery contains many unmarked graves.
