History
Wealthy cattlemen brothers John and Patrick Landergin built this 20-room Neoclassical mansion in 1914, designed by the Kansas City firm Shepherd, Farrar & Wiser. Sold at auction in 1940 to oilman Don Harrington and his wife Sybil, it became one of Amarillo's most recognizable homes and now operates as the Harrington House museum. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
