History
Built in 1902, this Italianate house is one of Amarillo's oldest homes and was the residence of Henry Bradley Sanborn, the barbed-wire promoter and land developer often called the 'father of Amarillo.' Originally sited where the Civic Center now stands, it was moved to its present location by owner Charles D. Hoover in 1923. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
